My name is Tiffany and I am a project manager living in West Virginia. I have a wonderful family that includes my husband, Matt, and my two fur babies. Matt and I were best friends in college (aww) and were married in the Bahamas in 2007.
Like many others, I have experienced a love/hate relationship with food. For a long time, I considered all calories equal and bad. 3500 Calories= 1 Pound, right? Not exactly…
My love for numbers led me to degrees in Math and Engineering, but my true passions are health, nutrition, helping others, and numbers. These passions led me to a certification in nutrition to combine all the things I love. After taking the time to learn about nutrition I realized that the type of food is just as important as the amount.
I was finally able to love food, eat healthy amounts of the right food (most of the time – but everyone needs a Reese cup now and again) and make friends with the scale. My caloric intake actually increased by 300 calories in order for the weight to come off… . what?!?! It’s true, I increased my food intake (in the right ratio) and lost weight… specifically, body fat. Eat more to weigh less – heck yea!!
